"GET ON THE BUS"
Booster Club committed to Finding New School Bus

Mount Michael’s largest bus is getting quite old. The Mount Michael Booster Club has decided to raise the funds to buy a new or slightly used bus to replace it. The current bus has problems with reliability, high maintenance costs, and a lack of power on the highway. “It has trouble starting on cold days and lacks the power needed for longer trips,” athletic director Jason Mackeprang said.

The school administration feels that a new bus, which would cost around $80 thousand, is necessary. Mount Michael’s Booster Club has started a fundraising program to raise the money. Mackeprang said, “The Booster Club realizes the need for a new large bus and has dedicated their efforts towards raising enough money to buy a 50 – 55 passenger bus.”

The large bus sees a lot of use throughout the year. The football, cross country, soccer, and track teams are the larger teams and sometimes have to travel quite a distance to some of their games and meets. Any support or donations are gladly welcomed as it would be nice to have the new bus as soon as possible. Anyone interested in supporting this high priority project should contact Todd Rohweder, president of the Booster Club.
