On Sunday, May 11, 20 Mount Michael seniors graduated and were
added to the list of Mount Michael alumni. The ceremony was preceded
by Mass which was celebrated in the gym. The seniors, along with
all of the faculty, processed in from the back of the gym. Father
John Hagemann O.S.B. was the celebrant with Father Richard Thell
O.S.B. giving the homily. Matt Luettel read the first reading and
Father John read the gospel.
Next, Father Richard gave the homily. He
touched on many points, most of which had to do with the fact that the Mount
Michael community will always have a place
for the graduates.
Following the homily, valedictorian, Chris Park, gave a speech on behalf of the
entire 2003 class. He said that the 2003 class has had the most unity he has
ever seen in a Mount Michael class.
After Park's speech, Principal Tom Ridder announced all of the seniors and they
were then presented with their diplomas by School President Brian Osborne. The
entire Mount Michael community wish the 20 alumni the best of luck in their future.- Kyle
