Eventually
almost all of the students at The Mount will have to make the decision
on what college to go to. On Wednesday, September 10th Mount Michael
hosted a college night for all of the juniors and seniors who are
getting ready to look at colleges. From about
7:00 p.m. to around 8:30 p.m. many catholic college representatives
came out to tell us a little bit about their college. The Colleges
that came were Benedictine College, Brair Cliff University, Clarke
College, College of Saint Benedict/ Saint Johns University, College
of Saint Mary, College of Saint Catherine, Conception Seminary College,
Creighton University, Dominican University, Lewis University, Loyola
University New Orleans, Loyola University Chicago, Loras College,
Marquette University, Mount Marty College, Mount Mercy College, Newman
University, Quincy University, Regis University, Rockhurst University,
Saint Louis University, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota,
St. Ambrose University, University of Dallas, University of Detroit
Mercy, University of Great Falls, University of Portland, University
of Saint Thomas, and Xavier University. Each college had their own
table where they told the students and their parents things like
how big their school was, what is popular at their school, what areas
of interest were strong and anything else that they had questions
on. Each college had its own pamphlets and mailing cards for the
students to fill out if they wanted more information. All and all
the night was a success. Each college had a chance to advertise its
school to the students, and the students had a chance the look at
the colleges they were interested in. - Matt Haas |
