Three students from Mount Michael Benedictine have received nominations to service academies. Erik Patton received a Presidential nomination to West Point , John Pieper a Senatorial nomination to West Point, and Stash Dwornicki a Senatorial nomination to the Naval Academy.

"Receiving these nominations is a tremendous honor for these young men," said Floyd Everitt, Guidance Counselor. "Right now the service academies are among the most competitive institutions for higher learning in the nation, since they have high standards for physical ability and service, as well as for academic achievement."
