It’s the Year of the Mom at Mount Michael
 Time
and time again, we hear that it’s “the moms” who
make Mount Michael tick. To honor and celebrate these heroines, this
school year has been proclaimed “The Year of the Mom.”
Special activities are being planned for the rest of the school
year just for the moms. To kick the year off, a “moms only”
coffees was held in the Armory on Sunday, August 29th. This event
was hosted by the Over seventy moms attended the event. Keith Allerton, Director of Development and Public Relations, welcomed them, introduced monks and staff and presented the speaker, Mary Maxwell. Maxwell has been called Omaha’s Erma Bombeck and kept the audience in stitches with her low-key, deadpan humor. The event was also prime time for all in attendance to greet old
friends and make new acquaintances. As the year unfolds, watch for
more Year of the Mom events. |
