Summer Renovations

Completed Projects

This past summer several renovation projects have occurred. The biggest project was the Gymnasium, better known as the Palace. Several different aspects of the "Palace" were renovated. Foremost on the list was the need to replace the leaking roof. This also provided a perfect opportunity to improve circulation in the gym by installing two large exhaust systems in the roof. Other features of the gym project were completely replacing the ceiling, Replacing the old windows and soon it will have new gutters and down spouts. To finish off the renovation the court surface was completely refinished so come this winter the Palace will be looking its finest! The new windows and white ceiling really make the gym bright and inviting.

On the Classroom floor a new conference room was created next to classroom 7. Previously this room was a little noticed "junk" storage room. The need for a new conference room was made necessary by the renovation and expansion of the language room on the bottom floor. The wall was knocked out between the language room and the old conference room to make one big room with a listening lab.

The old language listening lab has been converted into air conditioned office space for Mr. Buschelman, Mr. Grinvalds and Bro. Gregory.

Projects Under Construction.

The fore mentioned new office has made a space available on the top floor for a "Journalism Room". The room has a long ways to go before it will be ready for occupancy. It will need to have a computer line and router box installed, several computers capable of running Pagemaker must find funding or be acquired, a conference table and computer furniture and cabinets are also needed.

Finally, The weight room is expanding! The carpenter shop is being retired and the wall between it and the present weight room will be removed. It will more than double it's size when the project is complete. This will be an ongoing project taking place during the school year.
