In
the midst of all the incoming freshmen, frequently the arrival of
other new students at the Mount is overlooked. These transfers,
who have decided to take the much less traveled path, find themselves
here at Mount Michael, and have already begun to have an impact.
This year there are four new students, three sophomores, and one
junior.
The junior is Stephen
Dunning, a transfer from Skutt, who came because, "I shadowed
last year and found that the atmosphere was better, and the education
great, plus the idea of having a room and living here was cool."
Stephen is already involved in cross country, and plans to get involved
in other sports as the year progresses.

The
other three new students Dae Hoo Kim, Sue Jae Lee, and Han Bin Im
are all transfer students from Korea. For the rest of the School
year they will stay here in America, and learn at Mount Michael,
afterwards during summer break they will return home in order to…
go back to school, because South Korea uses a different school schedule
then the U.S.A does. So this decision represents a sacrifice on
their part. When asked why they would want to come here, Han replied
"I came here not only for the experience but also for the education."
Hopefully,
the new students this year will find life here as enjoyable, as
did the two transfer students last year, Min Il Rho and Chan Hoon
Park.
