Career
Night
With the hectic schedule that most
Mount Michael students have, they have trouble planning what
they will do in a couple of days. On Tuesday October 18, Career
Night gave the student body a glimpse of what they will do
years down the road from now.
After all of the juniors and seniors
gathered in the chapel at 7:30 pm, rather than going to the
usual night-time study hall, Daniel Beninato, class of 1991,
started Career Night off with a short introduction. After
the short talk, the students rotated between three stations.
The representatives of the medical fields were located in
the Armory. The men with careers in business gave their presentation
in the crypt. Lastly, Fr, John, John Roshone, and John Levy
talked in the chapel about religious vocations, teaching,
and law, respectively. Students remained at each station for
30 minutes, which were spent listening to the speakers and
asking questions. After all stations were covered, the students
and speakers gathered in the Armory for refreshments.
Even though not every possible career
was represented, there were enough to give students an idea
on what they may want to do in the future.
“Overall, I thought it was a
very interesting night in which I leaned a lot about different
careers,” said junior Patrick Witt.
