All
Saints Day Mass
“We use this day to strive for sainthood.
No one is exempt from that,” said Fr. Richard Thell
during his homily on Tuesday, November 1. The entire Mount
Michael student body gathered for an all-school mass for All
Saints Day.
All Saints Day is a universal
feast that honors all Christian saints, known and unknown.
Fr. Richard presided over
the mass. The theme of his homily was to strive for sainthood.
He said that we are all on the path of a sinner, but “we
all take paths to sainthood by looking at the people around
us as potential saints.”
Senior Tim Agnew read
the first reading, and sophomore Michael Boeck read the second.
Fr. Richard’s main
theme can be summed up by a quote he gave from a 19th century
author, “Every saint has a past; every sinner has a
future.” - Article by Tim Huss
