Mount Michael All Knighter
On Saturday, October 28th roughly 55 seventh and eighth grade boys from all over the Omaha and Lincoln areas came out to participate in Mount Michael’s 5th Annual All Knighter. The night offered an opportunity for guys to come and see what the Mount Michael experience is all about. Once the guys arrived they were split into groups to participate in a variety of sporting events beginning with touch football. After football, there was Godfather’s pizza and pop served to the guests followed by a Mount Michael presentation. Mount Michael students discussed their experience at Mount Michael and told how they ended up at Mount Michael. A war ball tournament was held after the presentation.

The night ended with the showing of “National Treasure” and “The Incredibles” in the student union while others played basketball until about 2:30 a.m.

The next morning the visitors attended mass with their families and the monks in the Mount Michael Chapel. Before mass all the visitors were given a Mount Michael t-shirt and a prize (footballs, Nerf toys, Best Buy gift certificates, etc.) for their efforts in war ball and touch football. The event ended with juice, coffee and donuts in the student dining hall after mass.

Special thanks goes to volunteers Jake Ridder, Eric Carlin, Ben Larson, Nick Hall, Paul Hotovy, Andy Jewel, Colten Venteicher, Julius Agonor and Kyle Svingen for helping make the night fun and enjoyable for those who attended.
