MOUNT MICHAEL BENEDICTINE HIGH SCHOOL
15 ADVANCED PLACEMENT SCHOLARS

The College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations has named fifteen students at Mount Michael Benedictine High School AP Scholars. Founded in 1900, the association is composed of more than 4,300 schools, colleges, universities and other educational organizations. Each year, the College Board serves over three million students and their parents, 23,000 high schools and 3,500 colleges through major programs and services. Fifteen of the students at Mount Michael who took AP Examinations in May 2007 performed at a sufficiently high level to merit such recognition.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement – the AP Scholar, the AP Scholar with Honors and the AP Scholar with Distinction.

Thomas Frederick, Paul Hotovy and Thomas Kenny qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and achieved grades of 3 or higher on six of these exams.

Christopher Antonelli, John Dewald, Jacob Pflug, Kyle Svingen and Aaron Wiese
qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and achieved grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

Kurt Benes, Ryan Daly, Phillip Ervin, Kelson Hedderich, Han-Bin Im, John Pritchard and Patrick Witt qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing 3 or more AP Exams, with grades of 3 or higher.

On behalf of the Advanced Placement Program and all of the Mount Michael Community, we congratulate these young men on their fine achievements.
