MOUNT MICHAEL TEACHER RECEIVES 2008 HORACE MANN FELLOWSHIP

Mr. Rob Walker, a history teacher here at Mount Michael Benedictine School, was recently named a 2008 Horace Mann-Abraham Lincoln Fellowship winner by the Horace Mann Education Corporation.

Mr. Walker is one of fifty teachers from across the United States to be selected a fellowship winner. All the fellowship winners will be attending a six day seminar at the Horace Mann and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL where they will learn more about the United States’ 16th President, Abraham Lincoln.

Mr. Walker is a Lincoln, NE native and a 2006 Creighton University graduate. He is currently in his first year of teaching at Mount Michael Benedictine. In addition to his teaching he also assists with the cross county and track teams and is in charge of National Honor Society.
